Marijuana

Our Mission

Our mission is to help West Boulevard residents understand Ohio’s medical cannabis program without forcing them to sort through outdated fees, old possession limits, or confusing certification information.

West Boulevard itself gives the neighborhood much of its identity. Cleveland planning materials explain that the roadway was envisioned as a landscaped parkway linking the city’s northern lakefront area with Brookside Park to the south. Its broad tree lawns and unusually wide right-of-way remain distinctive features of the corridor. Residents can explore that history through Cleveland’s West Boulevard neighborhood planning document.

Our focus is giving local patients clear information about eligibility, physician evaluations, telehealth, legal limits, costs, and renewal.

Who We Are

We provide medical cannabis information and certification support for people living in West Boulevard who are considering Ohio’s medical marijuana program.

The community’s housing reflects several different periods of development. Cleveland planning records describe late nineteenth-century housing around Clark, Lorain, and Denison, with progressively newer housing toward the western side of the neighborhood and substantial postwar construction near West 117th Street and Bellaire Road.

West Boulevard also contains significant historic areas. The city recognizes both the Lorain Station Historic District, designated in 1998, and the Clifton/West Boulevard Historic District, designated in 2000.

Those characteristics give the neighborhood its own history and physical character, which is why our local patient information is written specifically for West Boulevard rather than copied from another Cleveland community.

Our Commitment

We are committed to explaining Ohio medical cannabis requirements accurately while keeping the physician’s medical judgment separate from the administrative registration process.

That includes using current Ohio rules, distinguishing state fees from provider charges, explaining legal limitations clearly, respecting patient privacy, and avoiding promises of certification before an appropriate physician evaluation takes place.

Joining Hands with the Community

West Boulevard combines residential streets with historic commercial areas and major transportation routes.

The Lorain Station Historic District follows a section of Lorain Avenue and was recognized for both its architecturally significant commercial buildings and the corridor’s historic transportation role. The broader Clifton/West Boulevard Historic District reflects the residential architecture and City Beautiful planning principles associated with West Boulevard itself.

The neighborhood plan also identifies Lorain Avenue as the community’s principal commercial street and highlights access to Interstates 71 and 90. West Boulevard, Bellaire Road, Denison Avenue, and West 105th Street have likewise been part of long-term transportation and redevelopment planning for the area.

Our role is to add another useful neighborhood resource by making medical cannabis certification, patient responsibilities, expenses, and renewal requirements easier to understand.

Our Vision

Our vision is for West Boulevard residents exploring medical cannabis to have access to current information and appropriately qualified physicians without unnecessary confusion.

As Ohio’s cannabis laws continue to change, patients should be able to distinguish medical rules from adult-use rules, understand what registration provides, and make healthcare decisions with a physician based on their individual medical circumstances.
